As the Frame of Doors and Windows
Structural Support: Square tubes can provide a sturdy frame structure for doors and windows. In large doors and windows, especially large sliding doors in industrial plants or large floor-to-ceiling windows in shopping malls, the high strength of square tubes enables them to bear the weight of the doors and windows themselves. For example, for some revolving doors at the entrances of shopping malls that can reach several meters in height, using square tubes for their frames can ensure that the doors will not deform during frequent rotations and usage, thus providing stable support for other materials such as glass.
Shape Adaptability: Due to the diverse shapes and opening methods of doors and windows, the square cross-section of square tubes is easy to process and splice. For hinged doors and windows, square tubes can be conveniently made into rectangular frames, and firmly spliced at the corners through welding or connectors. For sliding doors and windows, square tubes can be made into track frames, and their regular shapes can ensure that the doors and windows slide smoothly on the tracks. For instance, in the production of aluminum alloy sliding windows, the tracks made of square tubes can make the window sashes move smoothly from side to side.
Enhancing Anti-theft Performance
Physical Protection: In the design of anti-theft doors and windows, square tubes are an important component. Their solid materials and structures can increase the anti-destructive ability of doors and windows. For example, the anti-theft windows of some residences will use relatively thick square tubes to make frames and weld anti-theft nets onto the square tube frames. In this way, even when subjected to external impacts or prying, the square tube frames can resist a certain degree of damage and protect the indoor safety.
Installation of Protective Devices: Square tube frames also facilitate the installation of other anti-theft devices, such as anti-theft locks and anti-theft sensors. Holes can be drilled or card slots can be set on the square tubes to firmly install these devices in appropriate positions. For example, when installing a smart door lock on the square tube frame of an anti-theft door, its stable structure can ensure that the door lock works normally and prevent it from being forcibly removed.
Connection and Fixing Functions
Connecting Different Components: Doors and windows are usually composed of multiple materials, such as glass, screen windows, louvers, etc. Square tubes can serve as a medium for connecting these components. In plastic-steel doors and windows, square tubes can connect the glass clamping grooves with the main body of the window frames to ensure the firm installation of glass. Meanwhile, for doors and windows with screen windows, square tubes can serve as the supporting structure for the screen window tracks, enabling the screen windows to be easily installed and removed.
Fixing Decorative Materials: If doors and windows need to be decorated, such as pasting decorative strips or installing accessories like sunshades, square tubes can provide fixing points. For example, on some doors and windows with European styles, carved decorative strips will be installed on the square tube frames and fixed on the square tubes by nails or glue to enhance the aesthetics of the doors and windows.
